"Cardinal Song", original oil painting
*Free courier shipping worldwide*
As a child, I was animated, joyful, and full of energy and enthusiasm. However, I was told that I was too much and it made others uncomfortable. It took me almost three decades to unlearn the habit of self-censoring and suppressing my voice. This painting marks the moment of the shift and the reactivation of my voice.
The orange dress represent vitality, creativity, and communication (the correspondence colour of planet Mercury). The cardinal birds are also chosen intentionally to symbolise the recognition of one’s own value, a bright colour to be seen, and a clear voice to be heard.
If you have ever learnt to shrink or self-censor, let this piece reactivate your voice. If you have healed your inner child, let this piece honour and strengthen your joyful expression.
