This painting represents the alchemical stage of Dissolution, where the rigid identity dissolves, and the deep emotions buried beneath rises. The blue corset speaks of the deep ocean of our emotions and the unconscious. This is what we often avoid in order to “not stir things up”, and just get on with life. But it is where we must enter if we want to heal.
The white feathers symbolise the soul’s returning and remembering once we have dived deep, allowed grief, memories, and difficult feelings to move through, and start to heal those emotional wounds.
To live with this artwork is to honour the moment you stopped resisting your emotions, and began to move through them courageously. It is to honour your healing.
